– Split Persona –

2019 – Graphite on paper – 11in x 14in

Inspired by the struggles of personality disorder and how it can disconnect you from reality.

The concept with this piece is we are two people; who we think we are versus who we are to the world outside. Depending on our struggles and ability to cope, we can disconnect from reality and no longer know the difference. The piece shows the one person divide into two people but it is struggling to stay together as the stitching comes undone, with the hands interfering, as a symbol of the external factors that can break us down.

Part of my series of pencil drawings about self-reflection, an exploration of internal conflicts.

Let’s build something together.
