Inspired by the identity struggle, i explored emotions experienced when one looks for who they are.
The gap in her throat is meant to symbolize the feeling of being voiceless, unable to speak your truth. While the hair tightly tied up is meant to symbolize the feeling of being pulled back, feeling helpless in trying to move forward. The ligaments under the skin that appear on the surface are intended to point out that these are inner feelings, not shown on the outside.
